Curriculum | Mathematics

We aim to develop and stimulate our students’ curiosity and enjoyment in mathematics. Appropriate concepts, principles and methods are always related to real life subjects such as engineering, telecommunications, IT, financial trading and multinational business.

Students follow a common core syllabus, which is extended for those with higher capabilities. Students attaining grade B or higher are encouraged to study Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at A-level.

A-Level Pure Mathematics is a collection of techniques for tackling problems and considerably extends the ideas introduced at GCSE.  Applied Mathematics covers Mechanics and Statistics. In both subjects students learn how to simplify the complexity of the real world without losing the ability to make justifiable predictions about its behaviour.
